Is Rwanda safe for visitors?+

Yes, Rwanda is considered one of Africa's safest countries, with very low crime rates, making it safe even for solo female travelers at night.

What type of bike is recommended for the race?+

Gravel bikes with 45-55mm tubeless tires are recommended, especially with profile for potentially slippery conditions. Hardtail MTBs with fast-rolling cross-country tires are also permitted.

What is included in the race package?+

The package includes 5 nights accommodation, full board meals, transportation to and from Kigali, feed and tech zones, daily luggage transport, event photos, sponsor goodies, a T-shirt, timing, medical support, and route assistance.

What are the accommodation arrangements?+

Standard entry provides 3 nights in hotels (twin rooms) and 2 nights in tents. Upgrade options allow for higher-end hotels for the standard hotel nights and basic hotels instead of tents, with single rooms also available.

What is the policy for race cancellation?+

You can cancel up to 3 months before the event for an 85% refund. After this deadline, no refunds are possible, but entries can be transferred to another person without additional cost.

Is mechanical support provided during the race?+

Yes, mechanics will be available before the race and after each stage. However, due to limited spare parts in Rwanda, participants are strongly advised to bring their essential and bike-specific parts.
