This Privacy Policy explains how MyRace.cc collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use the website and its quizzes. We are committed to handling your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Finnish data protection law.

Who we are

MyRace.cc is operated by Performance Unit Oy, the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect

  • Quiz submissions. When you complete the Race Finder or W/kg (FTP) quiz: your email address and the answers you give (such as riding discipline, experience, training hours, FTP and weight, goals and preferences).
  • Technical data. Your IP address and a randomly generated session identifier, recorded with each quiz submission for security and to prevent abuse.
  • Usage and analytics data. If you accept analytics cookies, information about how you use the site (pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, device/browser) collected via the tools listed below.

We do not knowingly collect special categories of data, and the site is not directed at children.

Why we use it and our legal basis

  • To show your quiz results and matched races — our legitimate interest in providing the service you requested.
  • To email you your results, race recommendations and prep tips — your consent, given via the checkbox in the quiz. You can withdraw it at any time (see your rights below).
  • Analytics and marketing measurement — your consent, given via the cookie banner.
  • To operate, secure and improve the site — our legitimate interest.

Who processes your data

We use trusted service providers (processors) to run MyRace.cc. They process data only on our instructions:

  • Supabase — database and hosting for quiz submissions and lead profiles.
  • Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
  • PostHog (EU) — product analytics.
  • Google — Google Analytics and Search Console.
  • Meta — Meta Pixel for marketing measurement.
  • GoHighLevel — email and customer-relationship management for sending your results and follow-ups.

Some of these providers are based outside the EU/EEA (for example in the United States). Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your quiz submissions and lead profile for as long as needed to provide the service and our related communications, and no longer than necessary. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal).

To exercise any of these, email info@performanceunit.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto).
