FAQs

What kind of bike should I use?+

The course was initially designed for cyclocross bikes, and while mountain bikes are also suitable, cyclocross riders are advised to use tires at least 35mm wide with higher pressure to manage rocky sections and avoid pinch flats.

What are the course conditions and terrain like?+

The course features diverse off-road terrain including flowy pine-needle trails, hairpin turns, hills, roots, rocks, chunky mud, and puddles, with some sections potentially requiring riders to hike-a-bike.

Is mechanical support provided on the course?+

Yes, there will be mechanical support from local bike shops, along with first aid and two food stations; however, riders are strongly encouraged to carry their own spare tubes, pumps, and other emergency tools.

Will the course map be released before the event?+

No, the full route map is not published in advance. This is due to the course utilizing private land access and special permissions for certain trails that are not normally open to bikes, so pre-riding is not allowed.

What are the available race distances?+

The event offers two main course options, approximately 25 kilometers and 45 kilometers in length.
