The race consists of three distinct stages held over three consecutive days.
Stage 1 is 46 kilometers, Stage 2 is the longest at 72 kilometers, and Stage 3 concludes the race with a technical 35 kilometers.
The race takes place in the high desert at elevations no lower than 2,500 meters above sea level.
The daily stages start 800 meters outside of San Pedro de Atacama on the road toward Calama, while event check-in and daily briefings are held at Hotel Don Raul in town.
