FAQs
When do registrations close and what are the fees?+
Online race registration closes on September 9th at 11:59 p.m. Individual races cost $60, or a four-race series package can be purchased for $200 by September 10th. Onsite registration is available for an additional $15 late fee.
Can I pre-ride the course before the race?+
Yes, registered student-athletes and licensed coaches can pre-ride the course on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until sunset, and on Saturday after racing concludes (around 2:30 p.m.) until sunset. There's also a dedicated pre-ride time for high school female and all middle school student-athletes on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
How are race number plates handled?+
All student-athletes receive a number plate with a chip timing transponder for the entire race series. Head Coaches or Team Directors can pick up plates for their team on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday mornings starting at 7:00 a.m. Riders cannot pick up their own plates. Replacement plates cost $25.
What is the course like and how long is a lap?+
The course is a 5.8-mile loop through a Ponderosa pine forest at Fort Tuthill County Park, featuring rolling trails and some challenging hills, with approximately 365 feet (111 meters) of climbing per lap.
Is it mandatory for coaches to attend a meeting?+
Yes, it is mandatory for at least one coach from each team to attend the coaches meeting, held at the awards podium prior to the start of middle school racing (7:00 a.m.) and high school racing (9:00 a.m.) each day, to receive important race day information.
How is staging determined for the race?+
Staging for the first race is based on the previous season's overall conference series points, with returning riders in the same category prioritized. New riders and those without prior ACA event history will be staged behind others based on a random draw of their race number's last digit.
