Riders can choose between a long course of 59 miles (95 km) with 6,585 feet (2,007m) of climbing and a short course of 37 miles (60 km) with 4,098 feet (1,249m) of climbing.

What kind of terrain should I expect?+

The event features a predominantly off-road course, with approximately 95% dirt and gravel and 5% paved roads for the long course, and 91% dirt for the short course.

What kind of bike setup is recommended for this race?+

Most participants use a gravel bike equipped with 38-42c tires, favoring semi-slick or side-tread options. A hardtail mountain bike is also considered a good choice. E-bikes are not permitted.

What are the registration details and deadlines?+

Registration opens on November 1st, 2025, and closes on January 22nd, 2026, at 9 PM PST. Day-of registration is available for an additional $20 if the event is not sold out.

Where and when can I pick up my race packet?+

Packet pickup is available on Saturday, January 24th, from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Ukiah Welcome Center, and on Sunday, January 25th, from 6:30 AM to 9 AM at the Golf Club House at Todd Grove Park.

Yes, the long course has staggered starts for various male and female age categories, beginning at 9:00 AM. The short course has a single start time at 9:35 AM for all riders, including U16, 16-18, and Mentors.
