What are the route options and their distances/elevation?+

There are two routes available: the full Huffmaster course, covering 90 miles with 4866ft (1483m) of climbing, and the Huffmaster Mini, which is 55 miles long with 3245ft (989m) of climbing.

What kind of terrain can riders expect on the course?+

Riders will encounter a diverse mixed-terrain course, primarily consisting of approximately 41-46% dirt/gravel roads and 54-59% paved tarmac, including rolling hills, a punchy gravel climb, and a challenging gravel descent.

Is day-of registration an option for this event?+

Yes, day-of registration is available if the event has not reached its capacity, but please note that an additional $20 fee will be applied on top of the standard registration cost.

What are the age categories and are racing licenses required?+

The event offers various categories for male, female, and non-binary riders across different age groups (e.g., U18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+). A racing license is not required to participate.

When and where can I pick up my race packet?+

Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday evening from 5:00-8:00 PM at Granzella’s Hotel in Williams, and on Saturday morning from 6:30-9:15 AM, conveniently located next to the Maxwell Fire Department.

What happens if there is extreme weather on race day?+

In the event of extreme weather conditions that make the primary Huffmaster route dangerous or impassable, a contingency 'Plan B' route will be implemented, following Leeseville Road to the valley and back to Maxwell.
