The route is 99% rideable on a gravel bike with a small gear ratio, featuring only one to two short hike-a-bike sections.
Registration spots are distributed via a lottery system among all applicants, with entries closing after the sign-up period and unsuccessful applicants automatically placed on a waiting list.
This is a self-supported event, though there are two checkpoints operating around the clock to provide food and a place to share stories.
Both the start and finish are located at the Züri-Escape basecamp in Zürich, hosted during the Cycle Week festival.
