The event offers three route sizes: the Pebbler (40–50 miles with 3,000 to 5,000 feet of climbing), the Cobbler (70–85 miles with up to 8,700 feet of climbing), and the Boulder (up to 115 miles with up to 12,000 feet of climbing).

What kind of bike and gear are required for the ride?+

Gravel bikes with wide tires or mountain bikes are highly recommended, while road bikes are strongly discouraged. You must also have low gearing, a GPS computer with the loaded route, a charged phone, active lights, and self-sufficiency tools. Aero bars and headphones are strictly forbidden.

When are the final route maps released?+

In keeping with the event's tradition, the final route maps are kept secret and announced during the week of the ride.

Are there support stations along the course?+

Yes, riders are supported by 4 to 5 fully stocked SAG support stations complete with bathrooms and nutrition.

Where is the event based and is camping available?+

The 2026 venue is located at the Pyles Boys Camp Group Picnic Area, where RV, van, and car camping is available for $50 per vehicle per night.

Is outside support or assistance allowed?+

No, outside support is strictly prohibited during the event.
