The Taurus Mountain Race is a fixed-route, unsupported, single-stage race where the clock does not stop.
The route primarily follows gravel, single and double track, and old livestock trails through the Taurus mountains. Tarmac sections are very limited, and some walking will be necessary.
The race begins in Antalya and concludes on the Mediterranean coast, west of Mersin, after traversing and looping through the heart of the Taurus range.
Ideally, riders should have prior experience with multi-day, off-road bikepacking trips in remote areas and demonstrate self-reliance in harsh environments. An application process assesses a rider's ability to make safe decisions in the mountains.
The entry fee covers race logistics including registration, three staffed checkpoints, control cars, race media, 24/7 race HQ, dotwatchers, a race manual, a fully validated GPX track, optional GPS tracker rental, a race T-shirt, sponsor goodies, a numbered race cap, bike box transfer to the finish line, an after-party, and access to all race photography for personal use.
