Visit official site →This event is ideal for self-sufficient gravel cyclists and bikepacking enthusiasts who enjoy long-distance endurance challenges and custom route planning.
Cyclists who rely on pre-marked courses, fully supported aid stations, or flat terrain will struggle with the self-supported format and hilly geography.
Focus on high-volume endurance rides, climbing stamina, and testing your gear setup over consecutive days of riding.
Compare your W/kg to see how you stack up against this race's typical level — and which races fit you best right now.
You can register for either 'Sugar Gravel' which is approximately 550 km with 8,000 m of climbing, or 'Sugarle Gravel' which is approximately 270 km with 4,000 m of climbing.
The start and finish line is located at Marienburg, Im Abelsberg 4, 70327 Stuttgart-Wangen.
While there are predefined checkpoints you must reach, riders are responsible for planning and navigating their own route between them.
It is best to ride a gravel bike fitted with tires of at least 35 mm width and equipped with gearing that can handle steep, hilly sections.
Registration includes a useful starter pack, live tracking via 'Follow My Challenge', access to a campsite before and after the event, showers, a finisher party with food and drinks, and professional photos and videos.
