What are the different route choices and their climbing profiles?+
Participants can select from four routes: the 50 km ProBIERerle (800 m climb), the 88 km Bibeleskäs (1,700 m climb), the 95 km Strammer Max (1,900 m climb), or the 133 km Paniertes Schnitzel (2,900 m climb).
Can I participate on an electric bike?+
No, e-bikes are not allowed at this event. Bicycles must be entirely human-powered; gravel, cyclocross, and mountain bikes are welcome.
What is included with the entry fee?+
Entrants receive signposted routes, GPS files released three days before the ride, technical support, access to showers, a starting gift, up to four food stations on course, and a tree planted in their name.
What are the start times and course cut-offs?+
Riders must start between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM on October 4, 2026. The official finish line cut-off for all routes is at 6:00 PM.
What gear and tire specifications do the organizers recommend?+
The organizers advise using tires at least 35 mm wide and equipping a climbing-friendly gear ratio, such as a 50-34 chainring with an 11-32 cassette for double setups, or a 38T chainring with an 11-42 cassette for single-ring setups.
