The course is set in Langdale Forest and features some of the smoothest gravel trails in the country, with no technical sections or singletrack. It includes a sharp 1km climb at the start of each lap (averaging 7%) and a long 6km descent.

Riders can use any type of bike including road, mountain, city, hybrid, or cross bikes. Tandems, E-bikes, recumbents, and time trial bikes are not allowed.
