Riders can choose between three formats: the premier 50-Hour Grit covering just over 400km, a shorter 24-Hour Grit covering roughly 230km, and a 100-Miler (approximately 160km) option.
The race starts and finishes at Die Krip, which is located ten minutes outside the town of Magaliesburg.
The 50-hour format features four fully stocked water points providing snacks and hydration, plus two race villages offering beds, hot showers, and warm meals. The 24-hour format features three water points but does not include access to the race villages.
Yes, emergency JoJo water tanks are placed at the halfway mark between the scheduled water points to help riders stay hydrated.
The route features quiet public dirt roads in the North West province, along with exclusive access to over 80km of private farm tracks.
Both the 50-hour and 24-hour races start on Friday at 12:00 PM, while the 100-Miler race begins on Saturday morning at 7:00 AM.
