No, Matschfuss is an organized non-competitive group ride focused on fun, camaraderie, and scenery rather than racing.
A geländetauglich (off-road capable) bike is mandatory, with gravel bikes strongly recommended and MTBs also permitted, ideally using grooved tires at least 40 mm wide.
The course is not marked by signs except at key locations, so riders must bring a bicycle computer to follow the GPX route.
The event starts and finishes at the Velocenter Kiel located at Eichkamp 11-13.
