Rider fit

Who it's for

This event is designed for experienced ultra-endurance cyclists who enjoy self-sustained adventures, complex route logistics, and exploring diverse off-road terrain.

Who will struggle

Riders who lack experience with self-supported multi-day riding, struggle with logistical planning under time pressure, or find rough singletrack and hike-a-bike sections overwhelming.

Training focus

Prioritize back-to-back long-distance training rides on mixed terrain while carrying loaded bags, alongside mental preparation for navigating ferry schedules and sleep deprivation.

FAQs

Can I choose my distance during the event?+

Yes, you can choose to complete either the full 900 km loop or a shorter 500 km shortcut, but the final decision must be made once you reach the first checkpoint.

What is the time limit for completing the race?+

Riders have a maximum of 7 days to complete their chosen route and officially finish the event.

How do the ferries affect the race logistics?+

Ferries play a major role in the route. The 900 km loop has three water crossings and the 500 km loop has two. Because one of the inter-island ferries runs only four times a day, timing and scheduling will be critical to your race flow.

The race is strictly self-supported. You cannot receive private support vehicles or outside assistance. However, you are permitted to use public services available to all riders, such as commercial hotels, shops, and restaurants.

Are pairs allowed to register?+

Yes, you can register as a solo rider or as a pair. Pairs are allowed to draft, share gear, and support each other, but they cannot receive any support from outside of their pairing.

What is included in the registration fee?+

The registration fee includes your spot on the starting list, a carefully mapped route, a GPS tracking device for live tracking, a brevet card, a custom cycling cap, stickers, a pre-race dinner, and a finish line beer.
