Difficulty: 3/5 — Hard
A festive 100km gravel event blending timed enduro-style segments with a relaxed social weekend at Drumlanrig Castle. It features a diverse mix of estate roads, paved sectors, and rolling woodland singletrack.
Visit official site →Cyclists who enjoy a festival atmosphere, camaraderie, and testing their limits on short, intense segments without the stress of a continuous race clock.
Riders looking for a traditional, highly competitive mass-start road race or those uncomfortable handling drop bars on semi-technical off-road descents.
Develop explosive five-to-ten minute power efforts for the timed segments alongside functional core strength and technical bike handling skills.
Compare your W/kg to see how you stack up against this race's typical level — and which races fit you best right now.
Rather than timing the entire 100km loop, the event uses an enduro-style format where your final placement is determined by your cumulative time across four specific segments, each lasting roughly five to ten minutes. The transfers between these segments are non-competitive and ridden at a social pace.
A disc-brake equipped gravel or cyclocross bike fitted with fast-rolling, tubeless tires is recommended for the main Grinduro route. If you choose to ride the shorter Grindurito route, a mountain bike is suggested to better navigate the semi-technical singletrack descent.
Yes, e-bikes are welcome to participate and enjoy the course, but they will ride in a dedicated, non-timed category meant purely for fun.
No, camping access is not covered by sports or event entry tickets and must be purchased as a separate option.
Your entry includes complete access to the festival village, including Friday films and talks, Saturday night live music, workshops, a locally sourced Saturday dinner, professional timing, rider swag, technical support on the course, and access to a bike wash.
