Devon Grit Gravel Event

The event offers four distance options: 110km (Extreme), 83km (Full), 71km (Standard), and 43km (Mini).

The routes utilize the best gravel trails in East Devon, including sections of Woodbury Common, singletrack, and parts of the Exe Estuary Trail. Some routes include challenging climbs like Core Hill.

The event is ideal for gravel bikes, MTBs, cyclocross bikes, and e-bikes. Road bikes are not suitable, and a minimum tyre width of 35mm is recommended, with 40mm+ being best.

The Mini route (43km) is fully marked. For the longer routes (71km, 83km, 110km), riders will need to rely on GPS devices (Garmin, Wahoo, or phone) for navigation, as routes are not extensively arrow-marked due to potential tampering and the challenge of marking extensive off-road loops.

While specific cut-off times are not listed, riders should be aware that the longer routes are described as demanding, with a note to add at least 50 percent to standard 'hilly road' equivalent times for energy expenditure.
