FAQs

What are the course options and what kind of terrain can I expect?+

There are two main routes: Peyote (180 km with 4300m of elevation) and Calumet (150 km with 3200m of elevation). Both traverse the Umbrian Apennines on off-road trails featuring technical climbs and descents, singletrack sections, and potentially some hike-a-bike (portage).

What kind of bike is recommended for Augh 2026?+

A gravel bike with wide tires (at least 700x42/45 or 650) and soft gearing for climbing is highly recommended. A mountain bike is also a suitable option. E-bike charging is not guaranteed at the village.

Is a medical certificate required to participate?+

Yes, an agonistic medical certificate specifically for cycling or for sports with high cardiovascular demands, issued by a sports medical center, is mandatory and must be submitted by the event date. Non-compliance will result in non-participation and no refund.

What is included in the registration fee?+

The 110€ fee includes the GPX tracks, dinner and breakfast at the village, aid stations, a race goodie bag, luggage transport to the village, a spot for your tent at the village, showers and other services, a finisher beer, and CSI membership.

How does the overnight stay at the village work?+

The village, located at approximately 900m altitude, offers a field for pitching your tent. There's also a wooden structure with a capacity for about 30 people where you can sleep with a sleeping bag and mat. Bookings for the structure are not managed, and nearby accommodation is not available.

What are the cancellation and refund policies?+

Refunds or name changes are possible for exceptional, documented reasons until June 15, 2026. A 25% fee is retained for refunds/changes requested by April 30, 2026, increasing to 40% from May 1 to June 15, 2026. No refunds or name changes are permitted after June 15, 2026. If the event is canceled or postponed due to force majeure, the fee is valid for the rescheduled date but not refunded.
