How do I apply for the race?+
Applications for the Volcano Edition are reviewed until September, with riders selected based on their bikepacking and self-supported riding experience. Successful applicants receive email confirmation.
What is the entry fee for the 2026 Volcano Edition?+
The entry fee is USD 600 for SOLO riders and USD 1,200 for PAIR teams.
What categories are available for participation?+
Across Andes offers two categories: SOLO, where riders complete the route independently, and PAIR, where two riders must remain together throughout the entire route following specific rules.
What type of bike and equipment do you recommend?+
A gravel bike with 40 mm or wider tires is recommended, though mountain bikes are also welcome. All riders must pass a mandatory equipment inspection, with a complete list available in the Rider Handbook.
What is included with my entry fee?+
Your entry includes Base Camp access in Pucón, a welcome reception, social rides, workshops, specific merchandise like a T-shirt and Brevet Card, GPS route, satellite tracker with Live Tracking, checkpoints, safety support, event photography, a finisher medal, and the closing party.
What is not included in the entry fee, as this is a self-supported event?+
Accommodation, meals, flights, transfers, bicycle transport, travel insurance, mechanical assistance, spare parts, and personal expenses are not included, as Across Andes is a fully self-supported event.
